Abi Staines, Hyvve

New business Hyvve wanted to launch with an effective and powerful new brand, we talk to Abi Staines about how important this was.

Tell us about Hyvve, and how you help businesses in the recruitment sector

Hyvve is a boutique management consultancy that helps recruitment and talent acquisition companies to grow. We support the owners and management teams of SMEs to scale their organisations, grow revenues, increase profitability and ultimately maximise shareholder value.

The challenges that need addressing prior to selling a recruitment consultancy are significant and need addressing well before the point that the owner and employee shareholders actually decide to sell.

We help our clients to get a clear idea of where their business needs to be to achieve an exit, where they are currently, and crucially, what they need to do to bridge the gap.

In essence, we bring the knowledge, expertise and resources that an entrepreneurial recruitment firm needs as it grows.

Why did you decide to invest in branding right from the start?

We wanted to have a strong corporate identity and a clear voice regarding the value we can bring to clients. Equally important was going to be our connection with our associate team; senior subject matter experts whom we work with to deliver advisory services to clients.

We knew we wanted to be fresh and authentic and we knew it was more than just creating a logo or building a website. We knew it was about being joined up. Whilst launching Hyvve was the beginning of a new chapter for the two of us, it was important that our clients and associates saw us as experienced, professional, and credible.

Really important for us was to get across the collaborative nature of our business. The idea that value is created by tapping into the relevant subject matter expert when required. Investing in our brand at the outset was us practising what we preach … we needed the guidance and advice from a marketing expert.

Through asking the right questions and making us think in directions that we hadn’t always considered, Dan and Ginetta very quickly understood what was important to us and came up with a branding theme that hit the nail on the head.

How was the whole process working with Detail?

The value of having someone question your existing train of thought should not be under-estimated. It made us really think and question ourselves. Through asking the right questions and making us think in directions that we hadn’t always considered, Dan and Ginetta very quickly understood what was important to us and came up with a branding theme that hit the nail on the head. They were superb in responding to our tight timeframe request and devised a branding approach and toolkit that is great for us right now, yet it can also evolve with us as our business grows.

What was the feedback from your customers?

Feedback has been incredibly positive with comments such as clear, fresh and strong positioning.

We are delighted with the final results.
